Anyone who is heading off on their holidays to Spain or Portugal this week has been warned that the weather in certain areas is about to get very hot indeed, with the mercury set to soar to nearly 40C.
New weather maps from WXCharts show popular hotspots like Seville, Madrid and Lisbon turn dark red over the coming days as the temperatures widely hit at least 30C every day, which is above average in both cases.
