NEW DELHI: Long jumper Nayana James continued her impressive form, securing a gold medal at the Taiwan Athletics Open in Taipei on Sunday.
Despite the rainy conditions, the 28-year-old athlete achieved her best jump of the day, measuring 6.43m, in her third attempt at the World Athletics Continental Tour bronze level event.
The mark was her personal best outside India, with her overall personal best standing at 6.67m, which she recorded while winning gold at the Indian Open Jumps competition in March.
Nayana had also clinched gold at the Federation Cup last month with a jump of 6.53m.
