UK tourists heading to Italy have been issued a fresh travel warning regarding “lost or stolen” passports. The Foreign Office has circulated the warning to UK holidaymakers jetting off to the likes of the Amalfi Coast, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Milan, Naples, Venice and more.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) told Britons: “If your passport is lost or stolen, you must renew your passport or apply for an emergency travel document.” The Government department continued: “You cannot use a police report to leave Italy.”
