Didier Deschamps is set to remain as head coach of France despite their semi-final exit at Euro 2024.
“I see no reason to question his contract,” French federation boss Philippe Diallo told the L’Équipe (via Yahoo Sport) newspaper on Wednesday.
Deschamps has a contract until 2026, which Diallo said must be respected.
He believes Deschamps led the team through the tournament in the best possible way and achieved their sporting goal.
France reached the semi-finals but were defeated 2-1 by title favourites Spain on Tuesday.
Deschamps has been coaching Les Bleus for 12 years, winning the World Cup in 2018.
