(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 3 – 2023 was a record year for entries
into Italian museums with the Colosseum and the Pantheon in Rome
leading the rankings, according to figures presented at the
culture ministry Wednesday.
In all some 58 million people entered Italy’s museums last year,
just over a million less than the Italian population.
This was up 10.7 million on 2022, a rise of 23% in visitor
numbers.
