Number of inhabitants
Data on the total population of the ENP-East countries and the EU is shown in Table 1 for the years 2011-2022. Data for 2022 are available only for Ukraine and the EU. Ukraine was the most populous of the ENP-East countries with 41.0 million inhabitants in 2022, while Azerbaijan, at 10.1 million had the second largest population in 2021. Georgia had a population of 3.7 million, Armenia 3.0 million and Moldova 2.6 million inhabitants (provisional data).
